Self Healing Meditation Class

New for 2011, a twice a month Monday night 90 minute class designed to teach, as well as offer, a deep healing group space, where you can help yourself to release deeply held old behaviours, anxieties, the racing mind and find more deeper, freer, authentic contact with yourself.

The world is going through major changes. More than ever, a deep grounded, centred and embodied place within you is critical, to riding and flowing through all the changes and minimising the possibility of being traumatised and deeply affected. More than ever it is important to have a space where you can let go your old past blocks so there is less to trigger you, in the world.

These classes are designed to help you let go past traumas and old blocks, leading you to becoming more centred and embodied again and thus stronger in the world.

Each evening will begin with a short instruction (30 mins) covering the process where you can ask questions.

This will then be followed by the process itself. You will pick a spot in the room - it can be sitting in a chair, sitting on a cushion, leaning sitting against a wall, even lying down if you wish.
There are some cushions available, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

The session will be partly guided and partly silent and will last one hour. (There is no background music, no chanting, no mantras, no religion, no rituals.) Just complete natural stillness.

In that time you will be gently guided to go within and re-connect with yourself in a deeper genuine way to help release past holdings and stresses. The guidance is not scripted, so it will also be slightly different each time, depending on the energy and requirements of the group that night. (Each night is different.)

You can allow movement and even some sound. You do not have to be completely still and quiet. And you can ask for help or open your eyes whenever you feel you need to.

It's not about looking good, it's about connecting with being more real again.

It can be likened to an active meditation, or a therapeutic meditation designed to re-connect you with more of your real inner spirit which then helps old stresses and problems to release.


After the process there will be time for questions. You can leave at this time if you wish or stay for the questions. This can go for 1 minute if there are no questions, or up to 30 minutes if there are a lot of questions.

This class is a product of over over 12 years of training, and over 20 years of private practice work with thousands of clients and what works to help people embody themselves to heal the past. It incorporates aspects of mindfulness, vipassana, Body Psychotherapy, P.S.H. Therapy and the work of Eckhart Tolle (Author of The Power of NOW) as well as the latest methods in healing the limiting effects of past trauma.

There are no pre-requisites. The class is open to anyone interested in:

Additional support for personal therapy work
Going the next-step for meditators
Becoming more real and authentic again
Bringing in the body to help heal the mind
Sharing a safe therapeutic space for healing

Having a much needed break from the over thinking thoughts
A clear space to rest down away from the busy demands of the world
Freeing up more of your creativity, memory and mind space again

Working with the power of a group energy
A space to feel more human again

NOTE: This can be a deep and powerful process. It is wise to allow some quiet time (an hour or so) after the session.

There are no set number of classes you have to attend. You can attend whenever you want (provided there is space.)
