Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the P.S.H. Therapy that you do with clients one-on-one?

No it is not a therapy CD. It is simply a way to relax, de-stress and let go all that needless over-thinking. Although people can gain therapeutic benefits from playing the CD over and above just de-stressing. The process developed on this CD came in part from live therapy P.S.H. sessions and Body Psychotherapy sessions. But this is not P.S.H. Therapy nor any other form of therapy.

(I have another CD - my Guided Self Healing CD - that is designed to be used as self-therapy. But that's another product, which follows on from this Relaxation CD. The Relaxation CD is the CD to begin with first.)

Is this like other CDs or mp3s that play nice music in the background?

No there is no music on this CD. It is not necessary. When you are truly and naturally relaxed, no music is necessary. The sounds that surround your environment and the tone of the words floating by your ears from the CD are enough to assist in creating a deep relaxation. More has been recently added to the main page addressing this question, including one great testimonial from Germany which says it all very well.

Is this meditation?

The state you reach is similar to a meditation. It doesn't have to be, but in many cases it resembles such a state. A deep relaxation where you are still aware of yourself and a meditation are normally one and the same thing. Many people have commented how they are now finally able to meditate after listening to this CD.

When is the best time to play the CD?

The best time to play this CD is in the morning. Once you are awake and ready for your day, put aside 20 minutes and play the CD. This is the optimum time. You are fully awake. Your body and mind are ready to launch into your day. By playing the CD at this time you start your day off from a much more centred place within you. Usually the whole day will then flow in this way, no matter what happens to throw you off centre. By playing the CD first, you will have more of that reference point within you that will help you stay steady and calmer than if you had just rushed off into your day.

Without centering inside first, you allow the external world to dictate your level of inner peace. You are more likely then to have a roller-coaster day or a day where you are thrown around inside like a pinball. You want your centre to be in you, not in your external world.

The next best time to play it is after lunch. Third best - after work when you get home. Fourth best - any time you like! Whenever you feel you need to de-stress and relax.

Actually some people have also found it very beneficial before bed to help them go to sleep. For others, playing it before bed actually wakes them up too much and they can't sleep. Every one uses the CD in there own unique way.

How many times should I play it?

As many as you like. The bare minimum is once in the morning as mentioned in the previous answer. Twenty minutes is all you need. Track five.

Some people have said that they sometimes play tracks four and five together, (after track four ends they allow track five to play). This way they experience a longer deeper session - up to forty minutes. This can be beneficial too.
